How It All Began

It started with a simple connection.

In September 2025, a man named Denis Gravelle introduced Anna and Jores from Leficomp to Nick Noorani from Immigrant Networks.

All three of us are immigrants. All three of us believe that newcomers in Canada deserve to thrive.

Nick has spent years helping immigrants find jobs and succeed in the workplace.

Anna and Jores have been helping entrepreneurs build and grow successful businesses.

That first call changed everything.

We realized that by joining forces, we could open a new path for newcomers. One that leads not only to employment, but to ownership, independence, and prosperity.

And so, Newcomer Business Canada was born. A place where newcomers can learn, connect, and build a business with confidence.

Why We Exist

Every year, thousands of talented immigrants arrive in Canada full of hope, but many never find their place.

Some struggle to get the right job.

Some end up leaving the country altogether.

At the same time, thousands of small business owners across Canada are retiring, leaving behind companies with no one to take over.

And now, with AI changing the job market, more people are looking for new ways to build stability and freedom.

We saw both a problem and an opportunity:

What if we could help newcomers become the next generation of business owners?

What if they could not only build a life in Canada, but help build Canada’s future?

That’s the mission behind everything we do.

Our Journey So Far

September 2025: Newcomer Business Canada is born from a shared vision between Leficomp and Immigrant Networks.
October 2025: During Small Business Week, we hosted our first live Q&A session with amazing turnout and stories of hope.
October 2025: We launched our website and our community, now growing every week.
Today: We’re already building partnerships and creating new ways to help newcomers start or buy businesses across Canada.
